The music blared loudly,mixed in with the sounds of people laughing and talking while colored lights flashed erratically across the dance floor,illuminating twirling,grinding and shuffling bodies.

Shizako sighed,gazing out at the dance floor,her sapphire eyes scanning the crowd. She had promised her friends to met them there,though she wasn't sure everyone had equally agreed on where they were going to hang.

This was probably Tobis idea... she thought,shaking her head. Clubs used to be her thing,back in highschool and the early years of College. She had never really drank,having seen what it did to people she tended to avoid the stuff.

"My,my...looks like someones not having a good time.." the voice came out of nowhere,and a large shadow was cast across her. Shizako squeaked and fell back off the stool,hitting the sleek wooden floor with a loud thud.

"K-Kisame!"she growled,leaping to her feet,her eyes staring up into a pair of golden yellow framed in a pale blue face,pearly white and sharp teeth exposed in a grin. Kisame Hoshigaki,someone she had known for awhile, he was into body modification and looked very much like a shark,plus he was about oh,seven feet tall.

"Uhoh...looks like I pissed off the Chihuahua!"Kisame laughed,using the nickname he had come up with in highschool. Shizako was much like a dog in personality and temperment,and the Hoshigaki loved teasing her about her height.

"Kisame...."the voice was low,feminine but deadly.

"Yeah...Suko?"

"Remove your hand....BEFORE I CUT IT OFF!"

Shizakos eyes flickered over to the woman who was speaking,a lavender haired and althetic young adult,with deep brown eyes and pale skin. Kisames hand was on her back end,a smirk etched into his face.

"make me...."

The instant he uttered those words,Ritsuko slammed her fist into his face,then grabbed his arm and flipped him onto his back. Pressing her foot into his chest she glared at him.

"You're pressing your luck...Hoshigaki"

Kisame wiped the blood from his nose,grinned widely and pulled her down on top of him,their lips clashing fiercely.

"And boy,do I get lucky" he laughed.

Shizako shook her head,slightly exasperated by the antics of her two friends. It was then that she noticed somebody else standing there.

He was tall,not like Kisame but maybe slightly shorter than the average height of a man. His skin was pale,even more so with the black,tailored suit he had on,with a red button up shirt underneath,the top buttons undone enough to give a glimpse of his chest.

He wore an odd necklace,black cord with three metal rings on it and smaller circles within those rings.

He had long ebony hair,pulled back into a ponytail with bangs framing his face.He had pronounced eye troughs,but they only seemed to enhance his appearance.

Then she looked into his eyes. They were a velvet black with no visible pupil, but instead she saw something else.They were inexpressibly sad,holding a pain that was so profound she could almost feel it. Judging from his expression,or technically lack of one,he kept himself hidden from the world,and perhaps his facade worked so well that even he himself did not realize the sorrow in his eyes.

She quickly looked away, scanning the dance floor again. She knew she should introduce herself,he was obviously a friend of Sukos and Kisames,but she knew that if she opened her mouth she probably would start sputtering like crazy or be unable to speak. A blush was already on the edge of her cheeks,and she was trying to will it into oblivion.

The man simply stood,patiently waiting for Ritsuko and Kisame to finish their little make of session. A group of pretty,albeit heavily made up women spotted him and squealed,loudly.

"OMG...ITS HIM....ITS ITACHI UCHIHA!!"

Hordes of other women turned and soon the raven haired man was surrounded by them. His expression remained emotionless,even as they tried to remove his necklace and shirt. Extracting himself from the mob with quick and fluid actions he approached Shizako.

"...Perhaps we should go and wait outside?"

"Sounds like a plan"Ahaha!so she wasn't tongue tied!

He slipped into the crowd and she followed,feeling more than just a little confused about this whole ordeal. Deciding not to think too hard she focused on only one thing.

Why was this the first man she had met that made her heart skip two beats?
